Girls in the Mountains
/Women-only treks in the Himalayas
Women travel groups are popping up everywhere. Why is that? Honestly, I feel like traveling with a group of women allows a woman to be herself. I have traveled with women from all ages and walks of life. Some women have solo trekked across the world, others are experiencing their first time abroad. There is always a common thread that connects women in travel. A desire for spontaneity and time on their own.
Set Aside Time for Yourself
We, as women, wear a lot of different hats. We are a mom, a wife, a co-worker or a CEO. We are constantly running, moving; taking care of others. It’s important to take time to remind yourself who you were before you wore all these different hats. Is that girl still in there that maybe went backpacking through Europe in college? Or wanted to and didn’t get the chance? We all have that little girl in us that just wants to run free.
Why not run free amongst the beauty of the Himalayas? Explore Everest, the Base of Annapurna, enjoy the Everest base camp tours as well as other regions of Nepal by foot. Treat yourself to a natural reboot surrounded by like-minded travelers as part of the adventure trekking tours in Nepal.
Start Planning Girls-only Adventure
Once a year we host a ladies-only adventure trek in Nepal. Our groups are small and intimate. They are designed to suit the adventurous travelers, as well as those looking to explore from within a secure and safe framework. We offer a true sense of community and camaraderie that women may not get if they travel on their own. To me, the most impactful experiences are created through the shared love of adventure, life and getting to know one another.
If you haven’t traveled much, that’s OK. It’s all about pushing yourself to experience something new and embracing fears with the support of a like-minded group. Traveling can boost your confidence and help you learn new things about yourself.
Watch out, it can make you thirsty to explore more of the world!
“Our ideal traveler is open-minded, adventurous, and willing to absorb what other cultures and people have to offer. Most women join our treks in search of travel that goes a little deeper than your average vacation and is more meaningful.”
There’s so much power to be harnessed when you bring women from around the world together to listen, engage, and skill-share. Women who have transformative experiences together don’t just change within themselves, but also bring that change home to their families and communities. You come home feeling empowered, inspired and ready to wear whatever hat is needed!
